behind the lens

Hi,

People often ask where we found our passion for taking photos. To this question, we simply answer that it has been part of us our entire life. Although we have only been taking photography seriously, as a profession, for about six months now, the beauty of the world and the people within it has always made us want to capture it. Photography has been a passion of ours since we were old enough to understand it.

Before I was a professional photographer, I was an army guy. Spending years in service meant deployments abroad. While living in Germany, I spent my free time working on expanding my family photography portfolio and diversifying my skills. A time I cherish in life. I believe my experience in Germany helped me learn how to engage with subjects and connect with them on a truly emotional level.

Now, currently living in Gary, NC. with my wife and young son, I specialize in portrait photography. I take great joy in revealing the character of a person through headshots and close-ups. Recording and documenting people with real feelings humbles me.

Also humbled by the truest form of photography, recently I purchased a fully manual forty-year-old film camera. Exploring how it works and sharpening my skills of the craft has become my hobby. Because, as years pass, photographs remain. And, this, now time-honored tradition, is part of why I became a photographer in the first place.

I look forward to working with you and helping to capture your vision.
